Rio Tinto, Thacker Pass is North America’s largest confirmed lithium resource. At this vast lithium clay project, Aquatech is enacting system of world-leading purification and chemical production systems to produce 40,000 tpa of premium battery-grade lithium carbonate from the site's post-leach lithium slurry.

Hell's Kitchen - CTR

California, US

Currently under construction, this facility will produce 27,000 tpa of battery-grade lithium hydroxide, fuelling a new wave of EV production in the US. Aquatech technologies underpin the project's process design, applying our world-leading thermal concentration expertise to harness to harness the heat available in this geothermal brine source and drive down the cost of production.

Hombre Muerto Salar - Rio Tinto (Livent)

This expansion at Rio Tinto's Hombre Muerto site, home to the world's first commercial-scale DLE deployment, will deliver 20,000 tpa of lithium carbonate equivalent from salar brine. Sitting 4,000 metres above sea level, our modular approach to technology delivery addresses challenges posed by the project's remote location, high altitude, and rapid project timeline
